What really draws me to animals is how blissfully innocent they are: they're controlled by their impulses, and that just makes us love them all the more. It's different from us people who have so much control over our impulses that we even have control over who we depend on. It reminds me of DC Comics' feature film Suicide Squad. It is a rather chaotic mess with glaring story problems, and it also has questionable role models for people to follow, particularly for people with ASD. You can read the rest of my review on it here.
Anyways, the point being, we are all searching for a role model, and the movies are almost always the place we look for them. It's unlike the inhabitants of the animal kingdom, whose only role model are their parents and natural resources. Bear cubs always learn from their mothers on how to hunt, clown-fish depend on sea anemones for protection from predators, and barnacles have to depend on the beach tides to control when they can feed. In the same way, I would like for us all to be more like animals, depending on intentionally selected role models out of means for survival. I hope these pictures of wildlife speak out to you in much the same way they spoke out to me.
